With over 25 years of social work experience, DeAnn has helped adults, children, and families with their concerns. DeAnn began her career in the state of Wyoming as a residential program director for adults with developmental disabilities. She then transitioned to be an independent contractor. She trained and managed providers of home-based services to children and their families with developmental disabilities and autism. She also worked in Jackson Hole with the Teton County school district. She provided consultation services for the development of behavioral and communication programs, as well as parental skills training. She assisted in the development of the Jackson Hole therapeutic riding program. 

Additional experience includes work with: 

  • Catholic Community Services, where she provided medical service coordination with medically fragile children and their parents. 
  • Child Protective Services specializing in teens, sexual abuse and neglect. 
  • Horses Guiding Humans using equine assisted psychotherapy with children, families and couples. 

 DeAnn has owned and worked with horses for more than thirty years, strongly advocating for the therapeutic benefit that horses provide. She managed a guest ranch in Wyoming for over 16 years, introducing clients to horses and helping to insure positive experiences with them. DeAnn was a rodeo competitor and also supported her children for more than 18 years in the western states competing in rodeos, barrel racing and roping. 

She provides practical solution and systems-based services to clients experiencing depression, parenting difficulties, and anxiety. 

DeAnn is currently under supervision and undergoing the process of independent social work licensing for Washington State. She currently holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Portland and a Master of Social Work degree (MSW) from the University of Washington. She is currently EAGALA certified as a mental health provider and equine specialist.
