Rafael earned his Master’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) from Brandman University. After completing his Internship from Greater Lakes Mental Health Services, Rafael continues to serve under-served and high risk populations as the Limited English Proficiency (LEP) Coordinator for Washington State Emergency Management. His enthusiasm and great passion for providing clients’-centered, strengths based, and cognitive behavioral services with a personal commitment to cultural sensitivity is noticeable upon interaction. Additionally, Rafael provides equine assisted psychotherapy to veterans, soldiers and their families, and adults and youth at Four Star Farm. With over 20 years of Active Military Service Coaching, Mentoring and Counseling Soldiers and their Families, Rafael pursues his short-term goal of becoming EAGALA (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association) model certified.
